This site was designed as a place where my Survey of British Literature students could come to have access to the works that are in the public domain within the US. This anthology is not meant to be complete but a survey of representative literature of the period to provide undergraduate students an overview of the style, themes, and some prominent authors, as well as the historical and cultural context surrounding the writing of the time. All reprinted works are within the public domain; where they are not, links are provided to other sites to access the content. If you would like to link to this resource for your own students, you may. All commentary and study questions belong to, myself, Anita Gregory, MH, MEd. Handouts available may be used in the classroom with acknowledgment.
